Melissa Atwood

Melissa began her real estate journey in 2012, after sixteen years in retail and management, and she hasn’t looked back. Her clients will tell you that her drive and ambition to provide them with the highest level of service, combined with her love of the south shore, bring them back to her time and again. It is no wonder that in a very short 10 years, she has created such a successful practice. Melissa grew up in the small country community of Pleasant Valley, about 20 minutes outside the town of Yarmouth, which has given her a lifelong passion for rural living in Nova Scotia. Her knowledge and love of the South Shore is a huge asset to her clients. She intimately understands which area will fit best for her buyers, which is in turn an advantage for her listing clients as well. In 2019, Melissa obtained her Brokers license and gained an even greater understanding of the intricacies of the real estate industry. She holds the Managing Associate Broker position for Engel & Völkers in Yarmouth and surrounding areas. Her never-ending thirst for knowledge, positive energy and outgoing disposition ensures she thrives in this ever-changing market. She is quoted as saying “it’s the raw emotion you see in a client’s eyes when that sold sign goes on, or when you hand over those keys. I absolutely love it!”Melissa’s love for the great outdoors (mostly during the warmer months, we’ve been told) extends to fishing. In her spare time, she can be found along the banks of lakes, rivers and streams around much of the countryside.
