Taryl Melanson

There are hundreds of Realtors and thousands of homes in HRM. Finding the right fit for both is essential for a smooth and rewarding home transition. Taryl’s interest in real estate started many years ago while viewing properties in search of her first home. Very quickly she saw that many homes showed poorly and decided to start her own staging business. Taryl went on to get her license in 2004 and has never looked back. Today, real estate staging is common in the industry, Taryl is a visionary who saw the opportunity and need to improve how we sell houses, which more importantly, helps clients. Taryl loves houses, as most realtors do. She has an incredible eye for detail and can help her clients envision options for properties that aren’t always evident. She has a great lineup of trusted people she connects her clients with, helping to make their new home even better. Recognizing the unique needs of our aging population, Taryl secured her SRES designation, Senior Real Estate Specialist, adding to her credentials. Taryl’s thinking is coupled with a strong confidence and focus on meeting her client’s goals. She looks for fresh and creative solutions to problems and never backs away from difficult conversations. What her clients often say about her is that she is an outstanding advocate on their behalf. When Taryl isn’t helping her clients buy and sell houses, she volunteers with St.John Ambulance in their dog therapy program, with her much loved dog, Baxter. She also volunteers at Hospice in Halifax. She loves films, and is a supporter of the Atlantic Film Festival, she is a passionate reader, and loves to cook for family and friends.
